The Nobska was launched from the Maine's Bath Iron Works Shipyard in 1925. She carried island residents, summer vacationers and supplies to Nantucket through the 1990's. Reduced to scrap in 2006, her whistle was salvaged and lives on, and continues to be used on the ferry, Eagle.
This ornament of the steam ship, Nobska is a reminder of a simpler, less rushed time. Each ornament measuring 3.5" long is hand crafted in West Newbury, Massachusetts by Paul Keyser.
